Jackdaw - possible Nordic

'Attached is a Jackdaw with a collar, so
possibly/ probably an Eastern/ Nordic bird of the race monedula. Can't
recall too many photos of these taken in the county so perhaps of interest,
though I couldn't seem to get a decent shot of it on the deck unfortunately and
the flight shot doesn't show the collar as well.' JH

The Cotoneaster in my garden usually receives a visit from a small flock of Redwings during December but they have only just turned up, much to the consternation of the local Blackbird.
