Jay

Within 24 hours of revamping my garden feeders, I now have at least 4 Jays visiting - at times they are queuing up and very approachable - surprising for this shy species. Is this a sign of a definite shortage of natural food?

Now returning to garden feeders in numbers. If the reports of the shortage of natural food for this winter prove to be correct, it will be vital to ensure that we maintain adequate replacement supplies in our gardens. Who knows, even rarities may turn up.
