'This ‘yellow-legged gull’ is problematic with features of both herring and YLG. Some Larophiles think it’s within range of herring full. I think could maybe be a hybrid.' JH

Kingfisher
'It flew past me on a stretch of Bourn Brook but didn't call
and divert off over land as they usually do. It turned, hovered for a second
and flew back past me to perch on an overhanging old post, one that I've always
hoped a kingfisher would land on but have never seen! These actions seemed
different and when I luckily got a bit closer without it flying off, I saw it
had dark feet rather than red. An adult zoomed by a few minutes later and the
youngster called and followed it off.' EG

Little Owl
'... it was absolutely fantastic to see the fledgling briefly
pop out of the tree trunk to have a look around and any pictures
