Gannet

Juvenile Gannet, Rings End, 23rd September 2018 © Mike Weedon
'Here is a record shot of a juvenile Gannet that Will Bowell and I had over the delightfully named Ring’s End (next to Guyhirn, north of March), yesterday afternoon, Sunday 23.9.18. The reason we were there is that it is almost the eastern edge of the Peterborough Bird Club recording area (PBC area), which is our favoured area to work; plus the winds looked favourable for seabird activity, as testified by Jonathan Taylor’s skua activity from Foul Anchor that afternoon. Sadly, none of JT’s skuas passed over us!' M W
