'It has been so quiet that I went and sat in West Mere hide for an hour
hoping something would turn up. I was lucky to watch a Great Egret fish
for about 30 minutes. During this time it caught about 10 fish, which
surprised me and made me realise, that either it was easy, or that this bird
was a real master stirring up the mud with its feet and then pouncing.' NB
