'It's the pallid bird that's been present for about two
weeks. The paleness isn't due to being aberrant or leucistic but either a rare
variation within Whinchat or what I believe, off eastern origin.' AC

Common Crane

'An
amazing 58 Cranes in flight at Thorney Toll on 14th October. They had come down
in a field between Thorney Toll and Wryde Croft windfarm, but were disturbed by
a farm vehicle and headed off back towards Guyhirn. The leading 'bird' and the
top left 'bird' are each two overlapping Cranes, as confirmed by other shots in
the sequence, but this image is the best one to show all 58.' ID
