'Yesterday's Green Sandpipers at Paxton Pits seemed to be playing a game of tag, with one bird picking up a waterlogged leaf from the water's edge and flying a short distance with it, followed by its companion. Fascinating to watch and with no obvious explanation.' ID

'...perhaps I ought to let you know that a rather cute critter comprised 50% of the mistnet catch this morning in my garden at Dunkirk. See attached. I had forgotten just how tiny these guys are; no bigger than a goldcrest. This one weighed 5.3g.' TM

'....seven birds were present, a new county record. Shot 1 shows five birds and shot 2 six of the seven though I never managed to get all seven birds in the same field of view simultaneously. The seventh bird is shown in shot 3 alongside a Little Egret.' ID
