'Here is a record
shot of a juvenile Gannet that Will Bowell and I had over the delightfully named
Ring’s End (next to Guyhirn, north of March), yesterday afternoon, Sunday
23.9.18. The reason we were there is that it is almost the eastern edge of the
Peterborough Bird Club recording area (PBC area), which is our favoured area to
work; plus the winds looked favourable for seabird activity, as testified by
Jonathan Taylor’s skua activity from Foul Anchor that afternoon. Sadly, none of
JT’s skuas passed over us!' M W

Common Buzzard
Juvenile Common Buzzard, Aldreth, 15th September 2018 © Simon Stirrup
'Here is another young Buzzard image – probably a different
bird. This individual has a preference for perching on wires rather than
posts and I can’t remember having seen one doing this before.' SS
