Redwing
Redwing, Girton, 31st December 2009 © Garth Peacock
Surprisingly there have been very few photos of Redwings submitted this winter. A flock of 15 descended on a Cotoneaster in my garden this morning and proceeded to strip it almost bare in one day.

Leach's Petrel

A rare visitor 'wrecked' by the South-west gales that was unfortunately attacked by a Carrion Crow and taken into care.

After being taken into care, this bird was taken to Titchwell RSPB and released. Unfortunately, it was last seen being carried off by a gull. A disappointing result for the rescuers.

Two amazing record shots, the top image showing four divers together (BTD the 2nd from right) and the bottom image showing the Black-thoated Diver with two adult Great Northern Divers. Well done Mark for capturing some historic images for Cambs.
